How to Set Yourself Up for Success

What gets planned gets done—and this isn’t “one more thing.” This is about equipping yourself for the tough moments that will come. When you plan your learning, you reduce stress later. The more prepared you feel, the calmer the day feels—for you and the kids.

  • ✔ Schedule short learning sessions

You don’t need long blocks of time. Break courses into 15–20 minute chunks and time-block them into your week like any other important appointment. A few short sessions each week build momentum and make progress feel doable.

  • ✔ Take notes & create action steps

Each course includes printable resource guides you can fill in as you watch. Use them to jot down key ideas and action steps you want to try. No printer? No problem—use any notebook or notes app. Writing things down makes it easier to remember & to revisit strategies before heading back into a classroom or after a tough day.

  • ✔ Make a device & distraction plan

Decide how and where you’ll watch your courses. Choose a device, make sure it’s charged (or plugged in), and that you have Wi-Fi. Protect this time—silence notifications, reduce distractions, and treat it as time invested in yourself.
